Our Work
Our first project was conducted in Jayabheri Temple Tree, a 16-acre luxury residential community located in Narsingi, Hyderabad. Consisting of 90 villas, with direct access through our Community Outreach Director, Rithin Marpuri, we found this gated community to be the ideal location for our first project.

Stage 01
Research & Planning
The first stage of our project was research and planning. We conducted interviews with sanitation workers, house maids, residents, and HOA leaders to understand how they handle their waste. We outlined few flaws. There were no recyling bins in the community and plastic was being dumped in landfills instead of being recylced.
Stage 02
Educating Workers
Before we could start making direct changes to the plastic waste managment system, we decided that to make effective change we had to educate the people who work on collecting the waste. We organised a presentation in the local language to educate the sanitation workers on how to effectively segregate the waste.

Stage 03
Awareness
To stop the issue at its source, we decided to was important to educate people into using less one use plastics and recycling more. To raise awareness with residents we hung up posters linked to our instagram account.
Stage 04
Recyling Bins
In the fourth stage of our project we implemented recyling bins around the community to fix the first major flaw in the plastic waste management system in Jayabheri Temple Tree.

Stage 05
Organising Waste
After talking to HOA leaders we realised that the communites waste was being dumped in landfills instead of being recycled. To fix this we scheduled weekly pick ups with cooperating residents and sent their waste to plastic recyling centres.
